Schafer Specialty Landscape & Design began in 2007 as a creative collaboration between husband and wife team Nathan & Melissa Schafer with a focus on providing professional, knowledgeable and high quality landscaping services to Vashon residents and businesses.

By combining Melissa’s educational background in landscape design and horticulture with Nathan’s craftsmanship and detail they are able to transform landscapes into functional works of art further strengthening a connection between individuals, families and communities with their natural environment.

Schafer Specialty Landscape & Design is a proud member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and the Washington State Nursery & Landscaper’s Association also recognizing Melissa Schafer as a Certified Professional Horticulturist according to industry standards.
